All eyes will be fixed on this beautiful silk painting! This is a work from Viktoria's folk wedding series. Framing is suggested, in gilded wood with canvas mat, no glass. (this is the preferred treatment by the artist, and allows for displaying the texture of the work). Viktoria Dubovik is a professor at the Lviv National Art Academy, with a superb reputation in Ukraine, Poland, Germany, Austria and the USA. She has received numerous awards and has participated in over 50 exhibitions. Her works feature many types of textile designing techniques including batik, frequently with her signature gold and silver highlights. Each beautiful and delicate work is enhanced by the raw silk's texture and reflection of bright, deep hues and graceful pastels. Her subjects include a wide range of themes, notably: still life, floral, people, angels, and folk themes (including pysanky) as well as abstract works and landscapes.
